The 18-hole, par-70 course, built in 1976 by architects Truman Wilson and Bill Dietsch, plays just over 6,000 yards and is set on 150 acres of semi-manicured natural barrier-island terrain with the Sanibel River winding through it. The course features Bermuda grass greens and an aqua driving range, and players may spot alligators, iguanas, birds, and even an American crocodile. The club includes the Ibis Grill restaurant and the on-site Sanibel Island Tennis Club with Hydro-Grid courts.
