The Pine opened in 1993 as part of the club's original Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design. In 2023 it was completely reimagined by architect Andrew Green — the designer behind recent acclaimed restorations at Congressional, Oak Hill and Inverness. The result vaulted Pine into the Top 100 Courses in Florida (currently #95) on its first ranking attempt, with strategic bunkering, mature landscaping and modern playability layered onto its classic character. It's the one most members will tell you to play first.
Also a Clifton, Ezell & Clifton original (1999) and later reimagined by Bob Cupp and Tim Liddy (2017), the Palm is the most scenic of the three: meandering lagoons, bulk-headed island greens, white-sand beaches and a tiered rock waterfall. It rewards thoughtful positioning while staying playable for golfers of every level.
Designed by Bob Cupp in 2002 and redesigned by Tim Liddy in 2018, the Estuary is carved among original stands of towering pine, cypress and oak. Natural preserves and water features make it the most demanding and immersive of the three — a true target course for the member who wants to be tested.
You'll occasionally see Grey Oaks' courses credited to Arthur Hills. That's a longstanding error — Hills never designed here. The original architect was Lloyd Clifton's firm, Clifton, Ezell & Clifton, with the modern reimaginings by Green, Cupp and Liddy noted above.
